RRB NTPC Practice Quiz – 50 MCQ Test (My Real Prep Story)
So, I recently started preparing for RRB NTPC, and I thought — okay, syllabus is not too tough, I can manage.
But when I gave my first 50 MCQ test… I got a reality check 😅
Questions were easy, but I was slow. And I made silly mistakes.
That’s when I understood something very important:
RRB NTPC is not about hard questions… it’s about speed + accuracy.
So here I’m sharing how I practice 50 MCQ tests. Just like I’d explain to a friend who is also preparing.
Why 50 MCQ Practice is Important
When I was only reading notes, I felt confident. But in test:
- Time finished quickly
- I got stuck on few questions
- Accuracy was low
Then I realized:
Practice makes the real difference, not just studying.
Subjects in RRB NTPC
From what I’ve seen, questions come from:
- General Awareness
- Mathematics
- Reasoning
All are basic level, but tricky.
My Daily Practice Routine
I keep things simple:
- 1 mock test (50 MCQs) daily
- Mixed subjects
- Analyze after test
My small trick:
After test, I mark:
- ✔ Correct
- ✖ Wrong
Then I revise only wrong ones.
This saves time and improves weak areas.
How I Attempt the Test
Earlier, I used to go question by question in order. Not a good idea.
Now I follow this:
Step 1: Easy questions first
Build confidence and save time.
Step 2: Medium questions
Attempt carefully.
Step 3: Tough questions
Only if time remains.
My rule:
Don’t get stuck on one question. Move on.
50 MCQs Practice (Sample)
Here are some questions like I practice:
General Awareness
1. Capital of India?
Answer: New Delhi
2. National bird of India?
Answer: Peacock
Mathematics
3. 20% of 250 = ?
Answer: 50
4. 15 × 4 = ?
Answer: 60
Reasoning
5. Find next: 7, 14, 21, 28, ?
Answer: 35
6. Odd one: Dog, Cat, Tiger, Table
Answer: Table
(Start easy, then increase level. That’s what I did.)
Time Management (Very Important)
This was my biggest problem.
Earlier:
- I spent too much time on one question
Now:
- I skip tough ones
- Come back later
My simple formula:
- Easy → quick attempt
- Tough → skip
- Review at end
Mistakes I Made
1. Overthinking
Simple question, but I made it complex.
2. Not reading properly
Missed words like “not” or “incorrect”
3. Guessing blindly
Which reduced my score.
One Small Insight
After practicing daily, I noticed something.
My speed improved automatically.
At first:
- 50 questions → took long time
Now:
- Faster + more correct answers
So practice really works.
One Relatable Example
Sometimes I see a question and feel: “I know this answer…”
But still mark wrong because I didn’t read properly.
Now I take 2 seconds before marking.
It helps.
My Personal Tips
1. Practice daily
Even one test is enough.
2. Focus on weak areas
Don’t ignore them.
3. Revise regularly
Very important.
4. Stay calm
Don’t panic in exam.
Final Thoughts
RRB NTPC is not difficult.
But competition is high.
So small mistakes matter a lot.
Just remember:
- Practice mock tests
- Improve speed
- Maintain accuracy
Even 1–2 hours daily is enough.
MCQ Practice Rules (What I Follow)
- Read question carefully
- Attempt easy first
- Avoid blind guessing
- Analyze mistakes
